Motor Generators were designed with a fixed
armature and thereby fan speed. - The internal fixed fan curve did not allow for any
restriction.
- Carbon dust is a relatively small particle, emitted
in large quantities.
- To eliminate the housekeeping problem the
carbon must be prevented from entering the air in
the machine room (source capture).

increase the surface area, allowing the air to “permeate
through the media, as if it wasn't even there.”
